Most of the mill’s output is used to manufacture breakfast cereals and maize based snack foods. The balance is sold as maize meal (yellow maize pap) , flour (E250) and hominy chop used in feedlots.
Maize flour is used in the production of soups, gravy’s, sauces, and as a staple food in certain African countries. Lastly, yellow maize meal is used as a staple food in South Africa.
